In 1997, the Tennessee legislature passed a law creating the Tennessee Internet Crime Information Center (TICIC), to be managed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.  The TICIC consists of  toll free number and multiple web pages that are all designed to educate citizens about potential threats to the community.      

• Sexual Offender Registry

  This registry shall consist of all public information regarding persons who are required  to complete a TBI sexual offender registration/monitoring form pursuant to existing legislation related to the sexual offender registry.
  
  

• The Out-of-State Parole and Probation Supervision Site
  
  This registry shall consist of at least the name and conviction offense of those persons who have been placed on probation or parole in another state but who are residing in Tennessee pursuant to the compact for out-of-state supervision, codified in title 40, chapter 28, part 4;
